ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd volleyball team utilized an efficient offense to snap its four-game skid on Saturday afternoon as they topped Embry-Riddle, 3-1, at the McArthur Center.
The teams swapped leads to start the game before Eckerd rolled off six consecutive points to distance themselves before taking the set, 25-22. The Eagles jumped out to a 19-11 lead in the second stanza, but EC responded with a 10-1 stretch to take a 23-21 favor. However, ERAU capped the set with a 7-2 run to win 29-27. Eckerd cruised in the third, 25-16, thanks to a .310 hitting percentage, and took the match easily in the fourth, 25-19.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Joelle Coulter led EC with a career-high 20 kills. She rounded out her double-double with 10 digs.
- Krysten Garrison posted a triple-double with 40 assists, 14 digs, and 10 kills. Her 10 kills ranked second on the team. She committed only one error on 16 attempts.
- Garrison's triple-double is the first by a Triton since at least 2005. It's also the first triple-double within the conference this season.
- Ashley Eck paced the defense with 23 digs, three shy of her career-high.
- Tiani Bello posted a career-high 14 digs.
- Eckerd hit an efficient .235 on the afternoon, including a plus-.300 percent hitting clip in sets one and three.
- Stella Antypa added 10 digs and seven kills. She also added four aces.
