PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Eckerd women's soccer team opened its 2022 campaign on the road falling to the West Florida Argonauts 5-0 Friday night.
Kendall Drummond had the first shot of the game in the sixth minute, but it was fended off by the Argos' netminder Maciah Lipsey. The Argos opened their scoring with back-to-back penalty kicks in the 23rd and 27th minutes. UWF added a goal just before halftime and two goals to start the second half. The Tritons didn't register another shot until the second half as Hajar Benjoud's high center shot was stopped by Lipsey.
