BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Eckerd softball team dropped a doubleheader at Lynn on Saturday afternoon. Lynn took a 1-0 pitcher's duel in the opener as the Fighting Knights tossed a no-hitter. Eckerd nearly came away with a victory in the finale after rallying to take the lead in the seventh, but LU answered with a walk-off win, 6-5.
The Tritons got a runner aboard in each of the first five innings of the opener. However, EC was unable to push a run across. Lynn scored the game's lone run in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly.
EC looked to get on the board in the seventh with runners on the corners but could not plate the tying run.
In the finale, the Knights took a 4-0 lead in the fourth thanks to a three-run third inning before adding a run in the fourth.
EC rallied for two runs in the fifth on a single by Brooklyn Cardona and a run scoring on an error.
The Tritons continued their comeback in the seventh to take a 5-4 lead. Brenna Lokeinsky drove in the first run with a double to left-center before Riley Anthony delivered a two-run single to center field, plating Lokeinsky and Cardona for the lead.
LU rallied in the seventh, loading the bases with two out, where Monique Poitevin delivered a two-run single to take the game.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Lokeinsky, Anthony, Lauren Margolis, Skylar Redish, Hannah Gordon, and Cardona each had a hit in the finale.
- Lokeinsky and Margolis both posted doubles in the second game. Lokeinsky's double was her team-leading eighth of the year. She leads the team with a .504 slugging percentage.
- Hannah Burge drew two walks in the opener.
- Brielle Benefield spun a complete game in the opener, allowing just one run over six innings in the circle.
- Hannah Perkins pitched a complete game in the finale, allowing six runs.
