ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd women's tennis team dropped its season finale, 7-0, to No. 1 Barry on Sunday morning at the Bullard Courts.
The Buccaneers (20-0, 9-0 SSC) beat the Tritons (3-13, 0-8 SSC) after earning the doubles point and winning all six singles matches.
Ericka Chavarria and Julia Triska gave Eckerd early momentum in the No. 3 doubles draw with a 6-4 victory over Clara Versier and Adriana Lamothe. Alexis Kwasnik and Raia Jagger won three matches out of No. 1 doubles against the top-ranked duo in the country, Daniela Farfan and Kim Moosbacher, but ultimately fell 6-3. The tandem of Theo Schultz and Lili Reichert dropped the No. 2 pairing 6-0.
Triska (6-4, 6-2) managed to win six games in the No. 6 singles slot. Kwasnik took two games but fell, 6-1 and 6-1, in the No. 4 draw over #57 Mariia Skyba.
