BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Eckerd women's tennis team fell to No. 20 Lynn, 7-0, at the Perper Tennis Complex Sunday afternoon.
The Fighting Knights (9-3, 4-2 SSC) beat the Tritons (3-9, 0-6 SSC) after earning the doubles point and winning all six singles matches.
Lynn began the match by sweeping all three doubles positions 6-0. Ericka Chavarria aimed to flip the script out of the No. 1 singles slot, winning six games but ultimately fell to Jacqueline Wagner, 6-3 and 6-3. Theo Schultz dropped the first set of the No. 2 draw 6-0 but improved in the second set 6-2.
Lili Reichert won two games in the No. 3 slot against No. 41 Giorgia Pigato 6-1 and 6-1. Julia Triska lost set one of the No. 6 draw 6-1 but improved in the second set 6-2.
The Tritons are on the road once more for a match at Palm Beach Atlantic on Tuesday at 2:00 PM.
