ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd women's tennis team fell to Embry-Riddle, 7-0, at the Bullard Courts Thursday afternoon.
The Eagles (3-4, 1-2 SSC) beat the Tritons (0-4, 0-4 SSC) after earning the doubles point and winning all six singles matchups.
The No. 1 doubles draw of Ericka Chavarria and Kylie Misdorp won two games, as did the No. 2 doubles position of Alexis Kwasnik and Lili Reichert, but each fell 6-2.
In the No. 1 singles slot, Chavarria nearly took the first singles match, winning four games in both sets but ultimately fell 6-4 and 6-4.
Kylie Misdorp and Alexis Kwasnik won four games out of the No. 2 and No. 6 singles slots, respectively. Misdorp fell 6-1 and 6-3, and Kwasnik won two games in both sets before falling 6-2 and 6-2.
The Tritons travel to Warner (Fla.) on Friday for a match at 3:00 PM.
