Eckerd Falls to Barry on Senior Night

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Barry used a strong opening half to defeat, 94-69, the Eckerd men's basketball team Wednesday night at the McArthur Center.  

Eckerd's offense struggled over the opening 10 minutes of the first half before going on a 10-3 run midway through the frame. EC closed the half on a 9-2 run, capped by a Kent Garard triple before the Bucs made a late layup as Eckerd trailed 61-40 at intermission. 

BU continued to cruise throughout the second half as they maintained a double-digit lead. The Tritons ended the game on a 15-5 run, including three triples before falling, 94-69.

NOTES AND NUMBERS 

• Daniel Love led Eckerd with 20 points, while Gianfranco Grafals and Kent Garard rounded out the double-figure scorers with 17 and 14 points, respectively. 
• Grafals led EC on the boards with eight. 
• Eckerd shot 39.4 percent from the floor compared to the Buccaneers 53.4 percent. 
• Eckerd honored its three seniors, Leonard Okiti, Doug Williams, Jr., and Colton Ryan, before the game.
