FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Eckerd men's basketball team dropped a road contest, 102-77, at No. 4 Nova Southeastern at Rick Case Arena on Saturday afternoon.
The teams swapped baskets early in the game before the Sharks went up 18-11. Eckerd rallied to cut its deficit to three, 20-17, on a Daniel Love layup with 8:06 left in the first half. However, NSU pushed back in front by nine two minutes later and maintained an arms-length favor the rest of the half before entering intermission up 42-35.
After taking a 12-point advantage to start the second half, back-to-back triples by David Swedura and Carr Thiam cut EC's deficit to six, 47-41, with 18 minutes left. Eckerd trailed but remained close until the Sharks went on a 17-0 run to take an 87-64 lead at the 6:26 mark, and NSU cruised the rest of the way.

- Thiam and Daniel Love led Eckerd with 17 points each, while Dante Bouchard followed behind with a career-high 16 points off the bench.
