HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - After a stalemate in the first half, the Eckerd men's soccer team held a one-goal advantage for most of the second half before Alabama-Huntsville scored twice in the final six minutes to defeat the Tritons, 3-2, Sunday night at Charger Park.
Sander Van der Sluijs put UAH on the board first with a goal in the 27th minute. However, Ty Dolan sent in the equalizer just five minutes later on a low goal from the top of the 18.
Joao Gouveia broke the deadlock just minutes into the second half after finding the back of the net off a free-kick just outside the box in the 51st minute. EC held its lead until the 84th minute as UAH's Shalev Keter converted on a corner kick for the equalizer. Rafa Moreno then gave the Chargers the win converting on a low shot on the right side of the box.
