ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Playing their second nationally-ranked opponent in less than a week, the Eckerd women's tennis team fell to No. 3 Lynn, 7-0, Thursday afternoon at the Bullard Courts.
Eckerd (0-8, 0-8 SSC) was swept in doubles competition by the Fighting Knights for the early point. Lynn (3-2, 3-2 SSC) then took all six singles matches.
Taylor Selby and Alexis Kwasnik managed to take two games in the No. 1 doubles slot but fell 6-2.
Selby also battled early in the No. 1 singles position collecting two games in the first set before falling by scores of 6-2, 6-0.
Lili Reichert took three games from Lynn's Eleonora Liga in the No. 3 draw but ultimately fell 6-1, 6-2.
Eckerd returns to action on Sunday, April 11 at 1:00 PM for its final match of the season at No. 2 Barry.
