ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd women's tennis team fell to visiting Palm Beach Atlantic, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Bullard Courts.
The Sailfish (1-2, 1-2 SSC) won each position in doubles action for the early point before claiming wins in all six singles contests.
The duos of Taylor Selby and Alexis Kwasnik and Lili Reichert and Theo Schultz out of the No. 1 and No. 2 draws, respectively, battled throughout doubles action, but both tandems fell by scores of 6-2.
Playing out of the No. 2 singles slot, Cassidy Lear collected three games in the first set against PBA's Quinty Janssen before falling, 6-3, 6-1. Theo Schultz managed to take three games while playing out of the No. 5 draw but fell by scores of 6-1, 6-2.
Eckerd (0-4, 0-4 SSC) looks to bounce back this week as they travel to Tampa on Thursday for a 3:00 PM match.
