SAINT LEO, Fla. - The Eckerd women's tennis team fell to the No. 9 team in the nation on Tuesday as the Tritons dropped a 7-0 decision at Saint Leo.
The Lions (1-1, 1-1 SSC) took an early advantage after winning at all three doubles positions and then took all six singles slots.
Alexis Kwasnik collected three games in the No. 4 singles draw but was bested by Lavinia Lancellotti, 6-1, 6-2. Theo Schultz managed to take a game in each set in the No. 5 draw but fell to SLU's Celina Ermann.
Eckerd (0-2, 0-2 SSC) looks to bounce back on Saturday as they return home to face Palm Beach Atlantic at 1:00 PM.
