DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Eckerd women's tennis team fell to Embry-Riddle, 7-0, on the road Sunday afternoon.
The Eagles (2-1, 2-1 SSC) swept doubles play to earn a point, then defeated the Tritons in all six singles matches.
Playing together for the first time, Taylor Selby and Alexis Kwasnik managed to take a game from Itxaso Blanco and Mafalda Soares in the No. 1 doubles draw.
Kwasnik battled early in the No. 4 singles slot before falling 6-2, 6-1. In the No. 1 singles draw, Selby dropped the opening set 6-0 but battled late in the second set before falling 6-2.
The Tritons (0-2, 0-2 SSC) travel to No. 9 Saint Leo on Tuesday for a match at 3:00 PM.
