ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.  -  Despite a close contest and several Triton rallies throughout the game, the Eckerd men's basketball team ultimately fell to Ashland (Ohio), 65-57, on the second day of the Eckerd Thanksgiving Classic Saturday night at the McArthur Center.

AU took a 10-point lead three minutes into the second half. The Tritons followed with an 11-4 run to pull within three at 43-40 with 10:37 left. Ashland held between a three and a six-point lead over the next six minutes before a pair of Daniel Love free throws pulled EC within two with five minutes remaining.
