Tritons Fall at Lynn

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Despite taking the opening set, the Eckerd volleyball team ultimately fell in four sets in a road match at Lynn Saturday afternoon at the de Hoernle Sports & Cultural Center.

Eckerd used a late 8-3 run to take a five-point lead before taking the opening set, 25-21. The Knights jumped ahead early in the second frame before using a 7-1 stretch to distance themselves to take the set 25-12. LU followed similarly to take the third and fourth sets, 25-17 and 25-12, respectively.

NOTES AND NUMBERS 

• Anna Jungjohann led EC with nine kills. Damyah Joyner and Joelle Coulter finished just behind with eight kills each. 
• Joyner's eight kills were a career-high. 
• Krysten Garrison nearly recorded a double-double with 29 assists and nine digs.
• Daniella Russo-Lolas led the defense with 18 digs while Coulter added 11.
