Eckerd Falls in SSC Match to Lynn

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Despite a pair of tight opening sets, the Eckerd volleyball team fell in straight sets to Lynn Friday night at the McArthur Center.

Eckerd and Lynn traded a series of runs in the opening set, remaining tied at 19-19 before the Knights went on to take the set, 25-22. The second set echoed the first with the teams swapping runs. The Tritons stayed close behind at 22-21 before the Knights went on to take it, 25-22. LU then took a large lead early in the final set to seal the match.

FINAL: Lynn 3, Eckerd 0 (22-25, 22-25, 16-25)
RECORDS: Eckerd 11-7 (4-6 SSC); Lynn 10-7 (7-3 SSC)

NOTES AND NUMBERS

• Rachel Wisian led EC with 10 kills. She hit an impressive .588 percent with no errors. 
• Anna Jungjohann added seven kills while hitting .353. 
• Krysten Garrison and Aleksa Curta ran the Triton offense with 15 and 13 assists, respectively. Curta's assists set a career-high.
