Beauregard Hosting ID Camp on December 11

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Eckerd College head baseball coach Josh Beauregard has announced that he will host an identification camp for prospective student-athletes on Saturday, December 11, at the Turley Athletic Complex.

The camp is designed to give high school aged players the opportunity to experience a competitive college training environment while being evaluated by Coach Beauregard and other members of the coaching staff.  An Eckerd alumnus and a former professional player in the Oakland A's organization, Beauregard is entering his sixth year at the helm of the Triton baseball program.

The 2019 season saw Beauregard lead the Tritons to their first Sunshine State Conference championship since 1981 and first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1987.  Four Eckerd players were selected in the MLB Draft, tied for the most of any program in NCAA Division II.

Registration begins at 8:30 AM with warm-ups beginning at 9:00.  A pro-style workout will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 before a recruiting question-and-answer session from 11:30 to noon.

After a break for lunch, the camp will feature games and campus tours in the afternoon before wrapping up at 5:00 PM.

Campers are asked to wear proper baseball attire and have both cleats and turf shoes.  Lunch is not provided.  Cost for the camp is $200 for position players and $100 for pitchers only. Limited space is available.
