ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Eckerd women's tennis team fell in an SSC matchup with No. 1 Barry Saturday afternoon at the Bullard Courts as the Buccaneers prevailed over the Tritons 7-0.
The Tritons (2-5, 0-4 SSC) picked up five points in doubles but ultimately fell as Barry (11-0, 4-0 SSC) took the doubles point and went on to sweep EC in singles competition.
Bailey Koronich posted two points early against Patricia Lopez but dropped both sets in the No. 3 singles slot.
Theo Schultz battled in No. 4 singles, recording three points in the first set and two in the second but was bested by Barry's Qianxin Kong.
The Tritons return to the Bullard Courts Sunday morning for Senior Day against West Chester (Penn.) at 11:00 AM.
