ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Eckerd women's tennis team dropped its second SSC matchup as they fell to No. 6 Saint Leo, 7-0, Tuesday afternoon at the Bullard Courts.
The Lions (3-1, 1-1 SSC) swept the Tritons (0-2, 0-2 SSC) after earning a point in doubles and then winning all six singles matchups.
Bailey Koronich teamed up with Theo Schultz to take three games in No. 2 doubles before falling 6-3. The duo of Cassidy Lear and Alexis Kwasnik in the No. 3 draw won two games but fell 6-2.
Freshman Lili Reichert battled late at No. 2 singles, winning three games, but ultimately lost to No. 31 Kristyna Jurkova 6-0 and 6-3.
Eckerd is back in action this Saturday as they head to Boca Raton to take on Lynn University at 2:00 PM.
