  • Famiano led off the fourth with a bunt single and advanced to third on a Meredith McGinnis sacrifice bunt and Newstrom's groundout. Jessica Wilson brought her in with a perfectly placed sacrifice bunt in front of the plate to tie the game at 3-3.
  • The Cavaliers took the lead in the sixth inning as Katie Russell hit an RBI single to short, scoring Kailey Huffman who reached on an error earlier in the inning.
  • UVW added four insurance runs in the seventh inning as Alexis Miles hit a grand slam to left field.
  • The Tritons rallied for two runs in the bottom of the inning. Wilson reached on an error to lead off the inning before Costa was hit by a pitch to put two runners on for EC. Margolis brought in both Wilson and Costa with her second double of the night lined to right-center. However, Eckerd was unable to pull any closer as they fell 8-5.
Game Two
  • UVW got on the board early with a run in the first inning following a bases-loaded single.
  • EC threatened in the third inning as Wilson reached on an error before Costa drew a walk, but the Cavaliers turned a double play to end the inning.
  • Miles led off the fourth inning for Virginia-Wise with a solo homer to center to take a 2-0 lead and the Cavaliers added another run in the fifth on an RBI groundout.
  • The Tritons loaded the bases with two outs in the fifth as McGinnis led off the inning with a single to center while Costa and Margolis drew walks, but EC was unable to push a run across.
  • UVW made it a 4-0 game in the sixth inning with an RBI single to right center and they added a run in the seventh to take a 5-0 lead.
  • Eckerd finally got on the board in the seventh inning with three runs. McGinnis was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning and Newstrom followed with a single. Pinch-runner, River Glenn, came around to score on the next play taking advantage of a UVW throwing error. Newstrom and Wilson then scored on a pair of wild pitches, but the Cavaliers coaxed a double play to end the inning.
