DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – After trailing most of the game, a 14-1 run to end the fourth quarter lifted the Eckerd women's basketball team over Embry-Riddle in a, 66-54, come-from-behind victory Saturday afternoon in the ICI Center.
Octavia Loll's 11-point third quarter gave the Tritons their first lead of the game and helped secure the team's fifth Sunshine State Conference victory.

KEY MOMENTS
- Embry-Riddle opened the game with five straight points to take an early lead before Abby Whiteye answered with a triple to put the Tritons on the board. The teams traded buckets for the remainder of the quarter as the Eagles ended the first quarter with back-to-back jumpers to take a 14-9 lead.
- Similar to the first period, Embry-Riddle put up seven straight points to start the second, building up a 12 point lead. The Tritons answered with 11 consecutive points of their own as a layup from Octavia Loll brought EC within one point of the lead. The Eagles strung together an 11-4 streak to end the half with a 33-26 lead.
- A layup and a jumper from Loll started the third quarter for the Tritons. Sarah Jones knocked down a 3-pointer for Embry-Riddle as they held on to the lead, but a triple from Whiteye and another layup from Loll cut the EC deficit to just one point at the 5:41 mark. The Eagles continued to hold a slight edge, but a triple from Mikayla Kuehne and two free throws from Loll with two seconds left gave EC a 45-44 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
- Zoe Richards laid in a basket followed by a 3-pointer from Maya Price with 7:57 left giving EC a 50-44 lead. The Eagles quickly answered with six straight points to tie the game at 50-50. A layup from Richards with 4:44 left sparked a 14-1 run to end the game, and the Triton defense played lockdown in the final minutes forcing three Eagles' turnovers during the stretch to end the game and seal the victory for Eckerd.

- Loll led the Tritons with 15 points, followed by Richards with 14. Loll also dished out six assists.
- Richards, Kuehne, and Eneritz Larranaga all pulled down six boards apiece.
- Richards posted a career-high four blocks.
- Whiteye led the team grabbing three steals.
- After a season-low on Wednesday, the Tritons bounced back to shoot 51.0 percent from field goal range while Embry-Riddle shot 36.2 percent.
- Eckerd has won its last three meetings with the Eagles.

"We picked up our defensive intensity in the second half and rebounded well," said head coach
Paul Honsinger. "We also did a much better job getting the ball inside offensively and finishing our opportunities. We showed our fight to come back and win it on the road."
