Calandra Breaks Record, Triton Bats Explode in Series Finale

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Triton bats exploded early for 13 runs over the first four innings while the Eckerd baseball team went on to win 17-4 in the series finale with Coker (S.C.) Sunday afternoon.

In the win, Mitch Calandra broke the program's all-time singles record. He entered the afternoon with 185 singles, needing just two in order to break the record. The senior wasted little time getting there after singles in his first two at-bats, breaking the record with a shot down the right-field line in the second inning.
