DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Triton women's tennis team was never able to build any momentum at Embry-Riddle on Saturday, falling 7-0 to the Eagles in Daytona Beach.
The Eagles (6-9, 2-4 SSC) took comfortable wins in all three doubles matches, then scored straight-sets victory in all six singles contests.
Taylor Selby dropped her first set at No. 1 singles, 6-3, to Georgina Wood and couldn't get closer in the second set losing 6-1.
At No. 6 singles,
Angelina Kossoff came close to extending her match with Maria Secatore into a third set. After falling in the first set, 6-0, Kossoff battled in the second set before ultimately losing, 6-4.
The Tritons (5-11, 0-7 SSC) return to action on Monday hosting Ave Maria (Fla.) at 1:00 PM.
