ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd women's tennis team fell short in its second match in as many days, losing to visiting Walsh (Ohio) University at the Bullard Courts, 7-0.
Walsh (6-5) won all three doubles matches to take the early point, then swept through the six singles contests.
MaryAnn Aaron produced Eckerd's best chance at earning a point against Maria Kacalova at No. 2 singles. The senior hung tight in both sets but ultimately came up short 6-3, 6-4.
The Tritons (0-5) continue their busy week on Thursday, hosting Davis & Elkins (W.V.) at 3:00 PM.
