TAMPA, Fla. - The Eckerd women's tennis team played its first road match of the spring on Monday, falling at Tampa in a conference contest 7-0.
The Spartans (2-2, 1-1 SSC) wasted little time in earning the doubles point, winning at all three positions. Â
MaryAnn Aaron and
Bailey Koronich fell at No. 1 doubles, 6-1, while
Angelina Kossoff and
Madeline Carlson lost by the same score at No. 3 doubles.
Tampa then won at each singles position to complete the sweep. Â
Cassidy Lear dropped her first set at No. 4 singles, 6-3, before losing the second, 6-1. Â At No. 3 singles,
Theo Schultz lost both sets to Lilley Nice by 6-2 scores.
The Tritons (0-4, 0-3 SSC) look for their first win tomorrow hosting Walsh (Ohio) at 2:00 PM at the Bullard Courts.
