Case Claims Second SSC Setter of the Week Award of Season

MELBOURNE, Fla. – After a pair of four-set victories, Sydney Case earned Sunshine State Conference Setter of the Week honors for the second time this season.

Case, a sophomore from Lakeville, Minnesota, totaled 99 assists in two matches at an average of 12.38 per set.

On Tuesday, she recorded a double-double (54 assists, 10 digs) as the Tritons beat Saint Leo for the first time since 2016. She followed on Thursday with 45 assists and seven digs as part of a 3-1 victory at Rollins.

Case ranks second in the conference with 10.98 assists per set this season.

The award is her second of the season, also receiving the honor on September 9. She also received four Summit League Offensive Player of the Week honors last season at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. 

Eckerd returns to conference action on Friday, hosting Nova Southeastern at 7:00 PM.
