ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Eckerd men's soccer team equalized the match against Florida Southern on an
Agustin Pertusso goal in the 69th minute Wednesday night. Neither team was able to put away the golden goal as the match ended in a 2-2 draw at Johnson Field.

KEY MOMENTS
- Eckerd wasted little time getting on the board with a Ty Dolan goal in the seventh minute. Dolan broke free down the right side and sent in a strike to the top of the net.
- FSC responded to equalize the match at 1-1 just seven minutes later as James Meehan sent in a shot to the far left post from the top of the 18.
- Meehan then put the Moccasins ahead 2-1 with a goal in the 28th minute. Alberto Diaz flicked a ball to Meehan at the top of the box, where Meehan sent in a low shot.
- Nick Reinauer nearly converted off of a corner kick for EC in the 32nd minute, but his shot was unable to find the back of the net.
- Pertusso equalized the match at 2-2 for the Tritons in the 69th minute. Pertusso weaved through the Florida Southern defense at the top of the box and sent in a sliding shot to the far post from the left side.
- Lynden Dawson came up with a key save in the 78th minute, turning back an uncontested shot by Meehan from close range.
- The teams entered overtime tied at 2-2 as neither team was able to generate a quality look on goal in the remainder of regulation.
- Dolan gave EC a quality chance on frame in the 94th minute, but his shot missed high.
- In the 97th minute, Dawson collected two critical saves on back-to-back Moccasin shots to prevent a potential golden goal.
- Neither team was able to create a quality opportunity on goal in the second overtime.

- Dolan netted his third goal of the season while Pertusso scored his conference-leading 11th goal.
- Pertusso's 11 goals this season are the most by a Triton since Juan David Tejada also netted 11 in 2016.
