FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Eckerd men's soccer team equalized the match late on an
Agustin Pertusso goal in the 77th minute Saturday night. However, Nova Southeastern sent in the go-ahead goal seven minutes later on the way to a 2-1 victory at NSU Soccer Complex.

KEY MOMENTS
- Nova Southeastern opened the game with an aggressive start registering three shots inside the first two minutes. Lynden Dawson made a diving stop to turn back the second shot while the other two attempts missed off frame.
- The Sharks got on the board in the 30th minute as Curtis Thorn converted on a penalty kick inside the left post.
- Eckerd had two quality chances just before halftime as Blake Bauer and Ty Dolan placed shots on goal in the 37th and 39th minutes, but Sharks keeper Brian Lopez turned back both attempts.
- Dawson came up with two critical saves in the 73rd minute as the Sharks fired off two consecutive shots following a corner kick.
- Agustin Pertusso equalized the match at 1-1 for Eckerd in the 77th minute. Braden Bradford won a header inside EC's attacking third and slid a pass to Pertusso at the top of the 18, where he sent in a low shot inside the left post.
- Henrik Berg gave NSU a 2-1 lead with a goal just seven minutes later. Thorn played a ball from the back, sending a long pass to Berg inside the box where he sent in a low shot to the far post for the go-ahead goal.
- The Tritons looked to equalize off a corner kick in the 88th minute, but EC was unable to create an opportunity on goal from the set piece.
NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Pertusso netted his conference-leading 10th goal of the season. He has now scored in eight of the last nine games.
- Bradford recorded his first career point with an assist on Pertusso's goal.
- Nova Southeastern outshot Eckerd 18-8 and held a 7-4 favor in shots on goal.
