AVE MARIA, Fla. - A perfect afternoon for the Eckerd women's tennis team wrapped up the team's road schedule as the Tritons swept Ave Maria, 9-0.
The Tritons (4-12) won every set in both doubles and singles on the way for their second sweep of the season.
Things started with a default win at No. 3 doubles for
Isabella Wong and
Cassidy Lear. Â
Bailey Koronich and
MaryAnn Aaron defeated Camila Branstner and Colleen Herrmann, 8-0, while
Joyce Fields and
Taylor Selby gave EC a three-point lead with an 8-1 victory at No. 1 doubles.
The Tritons then breezed through singles play as the Gyrenes took no more than two games in any set.
Koronich took down Averie Harkey 6-0, 6-0 in No. 4 singles while Wong took little more time to defeat Therese Sadusky (6-0, 6-1) at No. 5.
Selby, Aaron, and Fields also posted dominant victories while Lear won by default.
The Tritons wrap up the regular season on Wednesday hosting No. 11 Saint Leo at 3:00 PM.
