KEY MOMENTS
- Lynn jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning after a walk led to an RBI single and RBI double by the Fighting Knights.
- The Tritons took the lead in the fourth inning courtesy of a LeMaster three-run homerun. After back-to-back singles by Mitch Calandra and Keith Leavitt Jr., LeMaster blasted the homer to right center putting Eckerd up 3-2. Nick Conti added to the Triton lead in the inning with a double down the left field line driving in Torres who singled the at-bat before.
- The Fighting Knights used a three-run sixth inning to take a 5-4 lead. Tyler Green hit a two-run homerun to tie the game and Gabe Martinez drove in the go-ahead run with an RBI single to right.
- Eckerd tied the game in the seventh on another LeMaster hit. Calandra led off the inning with a single and advanced to second on a stolen base before LeMaster sliced a ball to left driving in Calandra.
- Neither team was able to push the winning run across in regulation, forcing the game to extra-innings. The Tritons did escape a jam in the eighth with two runners on and one out when Joey Favetta coaxed a 6-3 double play to end the inning and escape any damage.
- Hiott led off the extra frame with a single to center and later stole second. After an intentional walk to Justin Glover, Torres stepped into the box and delivered the game winning RBI. Torres sliced a ball to first base as Hiott took off for home from third. Hiott beat out the throw at the plate for the win.
