BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Triton women's tennis team got a win from
Cassidy Lear in singles but came up short at No. 4 Lynn University on Tuesday, 8-1.
Lear put together a dominant performance at No. 6 singles breezing past Veronica Cichowska, 6-1 and 6-0.
Unfortunately for the Tritons, the fourth-ranked Fighting Knights (13-2, 5-0 SSC) were too strong across the board.  Lynn swept all three doubles matches and leaned on its two nationally-ranked singles competitors (No. 17 Klaudia Boczova and No. 41 Diana Bogolii) to earn the fourth and fifth points to secure the win.
The Tritons (3-10, 0-6 SSC) will face another ranked opponent on Thursday when they travel to take on No. 14 Florida Southern at 3:00 PM.
