ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Playing their second match in as many days against Sunshine State Conference competition, the Eckerd women's tennis team fell to visiting Embry-Riddle at the Bullard Courts, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon.
Joyce Fields and
Taylor Selby battled hard at No. 1 doubles before losing to Georgina Wood and Roberta Krvajica, 8-3.
After sweeping doubles play, the Eagles (2-1, 1-0 SSC) won all six singles matches. Â Freshman
Cassidy Lear put up a fight against Lydia Carter at No. 6 singles but fell 6-1 and 6-2.
The Tritons (0-2, 0-2 SSC) return to the court on Tuesday to host the University of Tampa at 3:00 PM.
