MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - After nearly 40 minutes, Saturday's game between the Eckerd and Barry women's basketball teams came down to the final seconds.
A 3-pointer by Barry's Ida Andersson with three seconds left put the Bucs ahead by a point, and Eckerd's game-winning attempt from
Yarden Danan hit front iron as Barry sneaked away with a 64-63 win in Miami Shores.
The tightly-contested affair featured six lead changes in the fourth quarter alone.

KEY MOMENTS
- Eckerd outscored Barry, 11-4, over the last five minutes of the first quarter to take an 18-12 lead. Â The Bucs tied the game on three occasions in the second quarter before the Tritons rolled off seven unanswered points for a 33-26 lead just before halftime. Â After a Buccaneer 3-pointer broke the drought, Octavio Loll's layup beat the horn to give EC a six-point lead at the break.
- Barry took advantage of a Triton cold spell in the third quarter as Eckerd missed six straight shots over a four-minute span. Â The Bucs, meanwhile, took advantage in the paint scoring six of its final eight points of the quarter inside. Â Chelsea Johnson brought EC within two (46-44) on a steal and layup as the quarter expired.
- Loll's 3-pointer early in the fourth quarter was the first of six lead changes. Â Mikalya Kuehne followed with a 3-pointer to give the Tritons a four-point lead, only to see Barry connect on back-to-back 3's as part of an 8-0 run. Â Eckerd responded with a 7-0 run to retake the lead with 3:05 left.
- The drama continued in the final minute as Andersson drained a 3-pointer with 51 seconds to put Barry ahead, followed by a Johnson triple to flip the scoreboard back to Eckerd. Â The Tritons forced a miss and drew a foul, but Loll missed the one of two free throws with seven seconds left, leaving the door open for Barry to take the lead on a 3-pointer. Â The Bucs did just that on Andersson's second clutch basket, and Eckerd missed on its final attempt.
NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Johnson had one of her strongest scoring efforts of the season with 19 points on 9-of-13 shooting. Â Loll added 12 while Abby Whiteye had 10.
- The Tritons struggled from behind the arc for the second straight game, going just 6-of-26 (23.1 percent).
- Eckerd shot a season-low five free throws, making three. Â The Tritons did not shoot a free throw in the first half.
- The win for Barry was its first over Eckerd since the 2015-16 season.
