ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Pedro Galvao scored twice, helping lead the Eckerd men's soccer team to a 4-2 win over Saint Leo on Wednesday night at Johnson Field.

KEY MOMENTS
- Eckerd got on the scoreboard early in the match when freshman Zach McLaughlin netted his first career goal. Â Juan David Tejada ripped a shot from the right side which was stopped by SLU keeper Wessel Berenschot. Â McLaughlin, coming down the left side, hurried to collect the rebound and sent it into the back of the net.
- Saint Leo's Haydn Dickinson equalized the match in the 25th minute after punching in the rebound of a deflected Mathis Hardy shot.
- The Tritons reclaimed the lead in the 37th minute when Galvao scored the first of his two goals via a cross from Agustin Pertusso.
- Keeper Mason DeBaets helped preserve EC's 2-1 lead with a fantastic save just before halftime on a shot by SLU's Hermon Constant at close range.
- Galvao added his second goal in the 59th minute on another pass from Pertusso. Â This time, Pertusso slid the ball through a pair of defenders to Galvao inside the box and Galvao sent a strike past Berenschot inside the left post.
- Dickinson scored again for the Lions in the 67th minute. Â Elias Niesigk headed a long pass back to Dickinson, who took two quick touches and rifled a shot from 35 yards out that sneaked over the reach of DeBaets and under the crossbar.
- Eckerd dodged a pair of equalizer opportunities before again taking a two-goal lead. Â T.J. Soehn placed a perfect shot from distance inside the right post on a feed from Pertusso, his third assist of the match.

- McLaughlin and Soehn each scored their first career goals in the match.
- DeBaets tied his career-high with six saves in earning his second win.
- Pertusso's three assists were the most in a match for a Triton since Matheus Assumpcao assisted on three goals on September 3, 2016.
