KEY MOMENTS
- Eckerd jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the first set but attack errors began to cause issues. Â Rollins took advantage of the miscues, using them to help build a 15-9 lead after winning nine points in 10 rallies. Â A dump kill by Lauren Kadilis got a side-out for Eckerd and began swinging momentum. EC won three straight points and then, after the Tars got two kills, the Tritons rolled off six straight points for an 18-17 lead. Eckerd remained in control for the rest of the set, winning the final seven points.
- Rollins grabbed an early 3-1 lead in the second set, but it didn't last long. Â The Tritons used a five-point run and a 10-point run to build an insurmountable advantage. Â Eckerd then won the last six points for a 25-7 set win.
- The Tritons took six straight points early in set three behind the service of Sarah Johnshoy for a 7-4 lead. Â That lead continued to grow thanks to an eight-point run that pushed the lead to 17-7. Rollins managed to get back within four points but EC soon shut down hopes of a comeback by taking points on five straight rallies. Â Abbie O'Ferrell and Payton Meader finished off the Tars with kills for Eckerd's final points for the sweep.
