FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A busy week for the Eckerd women's tennis team continued on Friday as the Tritons visited No. 26 Nova Southeastern and fell, 8-1.
The lone point for the Tritons (4-11) came in singles play when
MaryAnn Aaron scored a win over Nastassia Rubel when Rubel retired.
Nova Southeastern won all three doubles matches by scores of 8-0.
The Sharks (7-8) carried the momentum into singles play, taking three of the six contests without dropping a game. Â
Isabella Wong put up a fight in No. 6 singles after losing the first set, 6-0, to push Arina Sharonova to a 6-4 decision in the second set.
The road gets no easier tomorrow for Eckerd, which visits No. 3 Barry University at 10:00 AM.
