ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - After a dominating performance to open the season, the Eckerd men's soccer team returns to the field tonight at 7:00 PM hosting Webber International (Fla.) University.

STRONG START: The Tritons wasted no time in starting the 2016 season strong with a 6-0 win over Union (Tenn.) University on Saturday. Eckerd scored four times in the first half, including two goals from
Juan David Tejada.Â
Moritz Hannemann also scored twice while
Matheus Assumpcao assisted on three scores. Eckerd has won its season opener in each of the last four years.
STAYING BUSY: Eckerd's schedule is a busy one over the next eight days with the Tritons hosting four contests at the Turley Athletic Complex. After tonight's contest, EC welcomes the University of North Georgia on Friday and Clayton State (Ga.) on Sunday before opening Sunshine State Conference play next Wednesday against Saint Leo.
SHUT 'EM OUT: Junior goalkeeper
Alex Gott recorded a clean sheet in his 2016 debut, bringing his career total to nine. Gott, the reigning SSC Defensive Player of the Year, posted a conference-best six clean sheets last season.
LAST TIME THEY MET: The Tritons blitzed past Webber International in last season's meeting on September 16 at the Turley Athletic Complex, 6-0.Â
