ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd women's soccer team wraps up a seven-match road swing to start the 2016 season by paying a visit to Saint Leo (Fla.) University tonight at 7:00 PM to begin play in the Sunshine State Conference.

FINISHING TOUCH: After scoring two goals in their first four matches, EC head coach 
Danielle Fotopoulos shifted the Tritons' practice focus to finishing in the final third.  Eckerd responded quite effectively, scoring four goals in each of its last two matches on the way to a pair of 4-2 wins.  Freshman 
Olivia Ross-Johnson netted two goals in EC's match on Sunday, a win over Flagler (Fla.) College.
NEWCOMERS FIND THE NET: Eight of Eckerd's 10 goals this season have been recorded by newcomers to the roster.  Ross-Johnson leads the team with three goals while junior transfers 
Sydney Tiiman and 
Kayla Gray have each netted two.  Another newcomer, 
Ashley Kreinbring, leads the team in assists with three.
SHOT STOPPER: Freshman goalkeeper 
Casey Winn has been both busy and effective in her first season at Eckerd, leading the conference with 28 saves.  Winn is fourth in conference with a goals allowed average of .717 and in save percentage at .875.
