ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – In its third match of the week, the Eckerd women's tennis program faced its third nationally-ranked opponent as the ITA No. 31 Embry-Riddle Eagles visited St. Petersburg for a non-conference contest at the Bullard Courts.
ERAU (7-6) captured all eight points that were contested on the afternoon to record the sweep over Eckerd (2-15).
Emily Fridrik and
MaryAnn Aaron battled in doubles competition against ERAU's No. 1 tandem of Hui-l Huang and Anna Gotz, taking three games before falling 8-3. Aaron also took two games in the second set in singles play from Gotz the No. 2 position.
The next contest for the Tritons is schedule for Thursday, April 14 against Tampa. The matchup is the final home date for EC and is set for a 3:00 PM start time.
