Eckerd Drops Final Match at Bullard Courts to Tampa

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Eckerd women's tennis team wrapped up its home schedule with a Sunshine State Conference contest against the visiting Tampa Spartans.

The Tritons (2-16, 0-7 SSC) were defeated by the Spartans (7-9, 1-7 SSC) in the battle between Tampa Bay rivals, 9-0.

MaryAnn Aaron suffered a hard-fought defeat at No. 2 singles in a narrow 7-6 (7-2), 7-5 back-and-forth contest.

EC is set to finish the regular season with a road contest at Florida Southern on Saturday. The contest is scheduled for a 10:00 AM start time.
