FIGHT FOR FIRST: The Tritons enter tonight's contest with a one-match lead in the Sunshine State Conference standings over Tampa, Saint Leo and Florida Southern.  Saint Leo hosts Tampa tonight in addition to the EC-FSC contest.  The Mocs can move into a share of the SSC lead with a win over Eckerd tonight, but at the same time, the Tritons can add a little extra cushion to their lead with a road victory.

FIVE-SET FINISH: Eckerd won the season's first contest between the schools in five sets on September 17 in St. Petersburg, hanging on to take the final set 15-13.  JaQuayla Baker led the EC attack with 18 kills while Lauryn Nelson added 16.  The Tritons won the first two sets of that match before FSC won the next two and forced a fifth set.  It marked the second straight match between the two programs than went to five sets.

ABOUT THE MOCS: Florida Southern went 2-1 at the South Region Crossover, losing to Alabama-Huntsville in its final match of the weekend. Anna Tovo is one of the conference's most dangerous hitters, averaging 4.39 kills per set while hitting .238.  As a team, the Mocs rank second in the conference in hitting percentage (.243) and blocks (2.08) and third in aces (1.65).
