Box ScoreTAMPA, Fla. – In their final match of the season, the Eckerd College women's tennis team fell to the University of Tampa, 8-1 on Wednesday.
Amy Naula picked up the lone win of the day defeating Tampa's Pinasco, 6-0 and 6-1 in singles action.
"Amy played very well today and I was so proud to see her end her career with a win," said Head Coach,
Ben Maxwell.
UT got out to a strong start, taking all three doubles matches before heading into singles play.
Erika Fridrik came out strong from the No. 5 slot, taking home set one, 7-5. The senior then fell in set two before heading into set three where she battled Moskol until eventually falling, 10-5.
"I am so proud of this team. We won some well-deserved matches this year and our program will miss our five seniors," added Maxwell. "It has been such a fun year and I wish them nothing but the best in the future."
