Box ScoreMIAMI SHORES, Fla. - Facing another nationally/regionally ranked Sunshine State Conference opponent, the Eckerd College women's tennis team fell in a tough dual on a breezy Saturday afternoon against No. 2 Barry University, 9-0.
The Tritons (5-9, 0-5) were coming off a tough match on Friday, battling the elements against Nova Southeastern.
The Bucs (13-1, 4-0) were led by the South Region's third and sixth ranked players in singles competition, Emma Onila and Sonja Larsen.
"The women had yet another tough conference matchup today," said Head Coach,
Ben Maxwell. "Everyone gave it their best and fought until the end. We are looking forward to an out-of-conference match against St. Olaf College and senior day on Wednesday."
EC pitched the same familiar lineup in singles as the Bucs were able to claim straight-set decisions in all six matchups.

Erika Fridrik was able to claim one victory in her singles match, taking it to three sets, but falling in the third, 10-8.

Emily Fridrik in the No. 2 doubles slot grabbed two games from their respective foe to open up the afternoon.Â
Eckerd will step back on their home court for senior day festivities on Wednesday, playing host to St. Olaf College. Match time is set for 3 p.m.
