ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd College women's basketball team will look to head into the break on a high note as the Tritons visit Paine (Ga.) College today for a 2:00 PM tip-off.

ABOUT THE LIONS- Today will mark the Paine's first home game since November 18, an 85-79 loss to Shaw University. It's only their second home game of the season.
- The Lions opened the season on a five-game losing streak before notching their first win, an 83-76 victory over NAIA College of Coastal Georgia.
- Janisha Wilkerson leads the team in scoring, averaging 19.0 points per game. The 6-foot junior shoots an impressive 65.4 percent from the field. Ashley Watts, a 5-foot-6 senior, scores and average of 18.0 points per game.
ABOUT THE TRITONS- Eckerd is coming off a season-best 11 3-pointers made in Thursday's 80-72 win over Albany State (Ga.) in the McArthur Center.Â
Victoria Vine scored a career-high 19 points in the win.
- The Tritons continue to rank among the nation's best in defense, entering today ranking third in defensive field goal percentage (31.9 percent) and 13th in scoring defense (53.9 points per game). Thursday's game marked the first time this season that an opponent scored 70 points against the EC defense.
- Vine (10.4 points per game) and
Margaret Sundberg (11.7 points per game) provide most of the scoring punch for Eckerd. Sundberg is shooting a team-best 42.9 percent from 3-point range.
- After today's game, the Tritons are off until January 6, 2016, when they return to Sunshine State Conference play against Nova Southeastern in the McArthur Center.
