ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - After going 2-0 last week, the Eckerd College men's basketball team kicks off a busy week by hosting Franklin (Ind.) College on Tuesday night at 7:30 PM.

Live VideoABOUT THE GRIZZLIES- Franklin is a member of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in NCAA Division III. The Grizzlies are still in search of their first win, narrowly losing at Webber International (Fla.) on Monday, 97-95.
- Junior guard Aaron Mann has been a scoring machine so far this season, averaging 24.8 points per game. An outstanding shooter, he is knocking down 45 percent of his 3-point attempts thus far. He scored a season-high 28 points in last night's loss at WIU. Trae Washington (14.5 ppg) and Robbie Prather (14.3 ppg) provide additional scoring punch for Franklin.
- The Grizzlies are a dangerous team from behind the arc shooting 38.5 percent from 3-point range. Defense, however, has been an issue as opponents are shooting 51.7 percent from the floor against Franklin.
ABOUT THE TRITONS- As was expected by longtime head coach
Tom Ryan heading into the season, the Tritons have been a very balanced team offensively in the early going. Six players average at least eight points per game, and seven players have scored in double-digits at least once so far.

Jerrick Stevenson leads the team offensively, averaging 16.0 points per game and 4.8 assists per game. Fellow senior
E.J. Moody averages 11.0 points per game while freshman
Drushaun McLaurn adds 10.0 points per game.
- Eckerd's aggressive style of attacking the basket has paid off nicely so far as the Tritons have already taken 50 more free throws than have their opponents. EC gets to the line an average of 35.5 times per game.
LOOKING BACKEckerd last faced Franklin two years ago, handing the Grizzlies a 94-77 loss in the McArthur Center. Five players scored in double-figures for the Tritons, led by Josh Snodgrass's 20 points and 11 rebounds. EC leads the all-time series, 10-2.
