WINTER PARK, Fla.
– Another highly nationally/regionally-ranked Sunshine State Conference program squared off against the Eckerd College women's tennis team as Rollins College generated a 9-0 win on Saturday morning.

The Tars (13-2, 2-1 SSC), ranked ninth nationally and fourth in the updated ITA South Region rankings, extended their current win streak to 11 straight against the Tritons (5-8, 0-6 SSC).

It marked the first official match since Ben Maxwell was appointed head coach of the men's and women's programs earlier this week. The women had assembled back-to-back non-conference wins coming into today's dual.

"This was a very tough match against a team with just two losses on the season," Maxwell said. "The girls fought hard and played with nothing to lose. I'm proud of their effort and we're going to continue to grow."

Anchored by nationally-ranked Elissa DeCampli and Ashley Rosenberg, the Tars decisioned the Tritons in straight sets to recap singles action.

Junior Gipson Hawn was able to win two games from DeCampli in her first set while juniors Katie Benn and Amy Naula, each won a set against their opponents in the No. 5/6 singles positions.

Rollins was able to clinch doubles by scores of 8-0, 8-0 and 8-1, respectively.

The Tritons are back on the courts early tomorrow morning on short rest in a neutral location, taking on the University of Missouri-St. Louis in Tampa at 11 a.m.
