Box Score WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Eckerd College volleyball team fell in three sets to No. 23 Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday.
After facing the No. 1 team in the nation Wednesday night, the Tritons (8-7, 1-5 SSC) fell victim to another national contender in Palm Beach Atlantic (16-0, 0-0).
Ali McAlvany led the charge in both kills and digs, tallying eight and 11 respectively. The senior now ranks third all-time in career kills (1160).
A tough start to the match occurred as PBA came out swinging and defeated the Tritons 15-25 in the first set.
Setter
Emily Schadow proved her power and experience on the court tabbing 23 assists throughout the match.
Set two was a hard fought match in which the Tritons eventually fell to the Sailfish, 23-25.
Tjasa Kotnik had a presence on the court as she nabbed eight kills on the day.
The Sailfish sealed the deal and defeated the Tritons in the third set, 18-25.
The Tritons look to bounce back as they get set to take on Embry-Riddle Wednesday night in the McArthur Center. The match is set to start at 7 p.m.
