Box Score ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – It was not the outcome the Eckerd College men's soccer team was looking for as they fell to Rollins College on Saturday night, 2-1.
Before the game started, the spotlight was on the nine seniors who have all made a huge impact on the men's soccer program.
Escorted by family, friends and even roommates, seniors

Dean Hobbis,
Matt Dolan,
Nick Murawski,
Connor Montgomery,
Jack Walsh,
Timothy Farrell and
Thomas Zimath were all given their proper recognition.
The boys hit the pitch hoping to bring home a much deserved win for their senior teammates.
In the 15
th minute, Rollins' Tosan Popo put the Tars up 1-0.
EC settled down and stepped up the defense keeping the game at a one goal separation for the rest of the first half.
The second half was a tough battle with both teams fighting hard to get off a clean shot. The Tars wanted more separation while the Tritons wanted an equalizer.
Murawski provided that equalizing goal in the 70
th minute to tie the match up at 1-1.
Tyler Allen provided the assist for the senior.
However, three minutes later the Tars managed to go back up with their second goal of the game.
Walsh and Murawski both managed last minute shots, but could not find the back of the net as they fell to the Tars, 2-1.
Goalkeeper,
Alex Gott, recorded a season high nine saves on the night.
Eckerd (2-9-1, 0-4-1) will be on the road Tuesday to take on the University of Tampa (8-4-2, 2-3-1) in an SSC matchup. The game is slated to begin at 7 pm.
