Box Score WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – In midweek action, the Eckerd College men's soccer team fell to Palm Beach Atlantic University Wednesday, 3-0.
The beginning of the game was delayed 20 minutes due to lightning.
Once the game started, it quickly turned into a defensive battle.
EC goalkeeper,
Alex Gott, stayed busy in the first half as PBA managed to get off 12 shots with one finding the back of the net in the 32
nd minute.
The Sailfish held a 1-0 lead heading into halftime when the second weather delay pushed the start of the second half back 30 minutes.
Lucas Kuscevic of PBA, put in his second goal of the game in the 49
th minute to put his team up, 2-0.
Wyeth Leemon and
Nick Murawski both managed to get shots off but were either blocked or deflected.
The Sailfish managed one last goal in the final minutes of the contest to claim the 3-0 victory.
The Tritons (2-5, 0-0) will return home to take on No. 11 Lynn University (6-1, 1-0) on Saturday. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
