SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Eckerd College men's and women's tennis programs put the finishing touches on the 2012-13 regular season against a pair of nationally-ranked squads from Saint Leo University on Friday afternoon.
The EC men fell against the 15th-ranked Lions (14-4, 4-2 SSC), 6-0, and the EC women were blanked by the seven-ranked Lions (15-4, 7-1 SSC), 5-0.
Each respective match was ended early on the courts at Saint Leo with the outcome already decided through singles results.
The Tritons' men concluded the regular season with a 1-12 overall record and finished 0-6 in the Sunshine State Conference.
Eckerd will now carry the No. 7 seed into the SSC Championship quarterfinals next week as the Tritons await No. 2 seed Lynn University in Boca Raton on Thursday at 11:30 a.m.
The Eckerd women closed the season with a 2-11 overall mark and finished 0-8 in the SSC.
